I used to watch these, but then realized that I'm not YouTube's target demographic as I maybe recognized one or two people each time, so seeing a bunch of (to me) nobodies being goofy to a tune wasn't enjoyable.

Given the like/dislike ratio, it still isn't hitting their demographic.

Disagree. FighterZ has a lot of newbie friendly mechanics, a fairly deep single player mode (relative to other fighters), and ASW games have fantastic tutorial modes. The only other ASW fighter I could potentially recommend over it for many of the same reasons is Persona 4 Arena.

Yeah, it's fine so far. I love leveling up/equipment mechanics in games already, and the story mode seems like a glorified tutorial.

The final dungeon in RPGs. That seems to happen a lot.

I've lost interest and stopped playing nearly every JRPG I've played. There's so many I love, but just don't enjoy them as much towards the end.

I don't play much of the genre (besides Smash, but that doesn't count). I just got it because I was checking out stuff on PS Now.

I've put 9 hours in. I suck BAD, that's to be expected with this genre. I'd imagine most people stop playing after losing so much, but the fact that I'm sticking with it despite probably means I could get into this.

I bought and am downloading FighterZ right now. We'll see how that goes.

AEW's women's division is awful. NXT is the best, and as mediocre/bad as Raw and Smackdown usually is, even their women's roster is utilized better than AEW.

Their division needs serious work.

Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, was a critic of the episode when it was first released. He felt that the crossover was a thirty-minute advertisement and blamed James L. Brooks, calling it an attempt to get attention for one of his unsuccessful shows. After he was unable to get the episode pulled, he decided to go public with his concerns shortly before the episode aired. He stated that his reasons for doing so were that he hoped Brooks would have a change of heart and pull the episode, and that "articles began to appear in several newspapers around the country saying that [Groening] created 'The Critic.'"[23] Groening had his name removed from the credits, so he does not receive his normal "created by" and "developed by" credits that air at the end of the opening sequence.[23]

In response, James L. Brooks said "I am furious with Matt, he's been going to everybody who wears a suit at Fox and complaining about this. When he voiced his concerns about how to draw The Critic into the Simpsons' universe he was right and we agreed to his changes. Certainly he's allowed his opinion, but airing this publicly in the press is going too far. [...] He is a gifted, adorable, cuddly ingrate. But his behavior right now is rotten."[23]

Al Jean and Mike Reiss, creators of The Critic, had previously worked on The Simpsons and had executive produced the third and fourth seasons. Brooks said, "for years, Al and Mike were two guys who worked their hearts out on this show, staying up until 4 in the morning to get it right. The point is, Matt's name has been on Mike's and Al's scripts and he has taken plenty of credit for a lot of their great work. In fact, he is the direct beneficiary of their work. The Critic is their shot and he should be giving them his support." Reiss stated that he was a "little upset" by Groening's actions and that "this taints everything at the last minute. [...] This episode doesn't say 'Watch The Critic' all over it."[23] Jean added "What bothers me about all of this, is that now people may get the impression that this Simpsons episode is less than good. It stands on its own even if The Critic never existed."[23]

Groening was criticized for going public with his complaints. Ray Richmond of the Los Angeles Daily News wrote "who's right? Well, Groening is probably correct in judging this an integrity issue. It's a fairly tacky bit of promotion, the kind generally beneath The Simpsons. But it's also true that little is accomplished by taking a gripe like this public. Quietly erasing his name from the credits would have been sufficient. [...] I admire the man's standing up for his creative rights. But I question the way he's gone about it."[24]

As a result, Groening was absent from the episode's commentary for The Complete Sixth Season DVD boxset.[25]

A man in China took his friend to court for selling a game character he spent US$1.4 million on for just US$552.

The man filed a proceeding against his friend and NetEase after the friend mistakenly sold off the character from the MMORPG Justice Online for just 3,888 yuan (US$552). The defendant said he was trying to sell the character back to his friend for 388,000 yuan (US$55,138), as he had been given the character to play. He attributed the typo to being dizzy from excessive gaming at the time.

But the moment the character was seen on NetEases in-game marketplace, it was snatched up by another buyer.

The case was ultimately settled with the mediation of a judge online. NetEase revoked the transaction, and the plaintiff paid the buyer 90,000 yuan (US$12,789) in damages. After the settlement, the local court in Sichuan posted on social media that the case was a great example of the protection of digital assets, and it warned gamers not to spend too much in video games.

Those were the first two I played when I got a PS4 earlier this year, and then Horizon after them. Those are pretty much PlayStation's big three exclusives. All are fantastic.

What's the gameplay like. I dont see a lock on system for the combat on videos. Is it like one of those shadow of mordor games. They're giving me a similar vibe.

No, it has lock-on, you click in with R3. It's not as necessary as something like Zelda, but it's there.

It's probably the best game I've played this generation.

I LOVED the older games, and the combat plays a little differently, but it's just so fluid and well-developed. It does have action RPG elements with armor-building systems and currency, and it's more open, but I wouldn't call it nonlinear or sandbox.

It's a change from the rest of the series but it's still fantastic.

It's pretty good. It's definitely the most faithful adaptation of a game that doesn't translate well to live action.

I thought the kissing scene was pretty great as a kid.

Then years later I was reminded this movie existed and... wow. That's... DISNEY thought that was okay? The fuck? No, that's not okay!

Yeah, that's our maturity looking back on it. It sounds messed up, but I felt the same way about the Mary Kay Letourneau scandal at the time because I was only about a year or two younger than the student.

Looking back now, I just think "he was just a child" and she's groomed him. They're still together last I heard, but it's still a disturbing situation that can never be okay.
